We asked fashion pundit Carson Kressley ( Queer Eye For The Straight Guy ) to give his take on a sampling of the outfits spotted at this year's U.S. Open: "She looks like a supermodel. The dress is modern, clean and I love the aqua color on her. It's a nice departure from the ultra-classic but still looks appropriate for the courts."

"To me this over-logo'd, bright-blue combo has the look of a gas station attendant. But in a chic place, like France."

"Could this be a strategic outfit? One designed to distract the opponent. This bold candy stripe is certainly distracting. How could you possibly keep your eye on the ball when your staring at this outfit? Brilliant strategy or tragic outfit. Your call."

"Love. Love. Looks like this is why I consider Federer the George Clooney of the courts. He looks handsome and sophisticated in classic navy and white. Now that color story could get a little warm on the courts. But who doesn't love a sweaty Roger Federer?"

"The only 'djoke' here is that the cap that seems to have been Ed Hardy-ized! Is nothing sacred!?! The rest of his look is perfectly fine."

"She serving up more than tennis in this outfit. It looks like she is channeling Britney Spears! The graphic pink tank, tattoos and that skirt (or could it be a terry cloth headband?)."

"OK, this one really stumped me. What is this? It looks like a bathing suit and an evening gown had a baby! It's just plain weird and totally unflattering in every way."

"Very modern in black with touches of neon yellow. But I have to wonder -- wouldn't all black be very hot on the court? Scratch that. A sweaty Nadal is fine with me!"

"Leave it to an Australian gal (it must be that old-fashioned English Commonwealth thing) to bring us a classic, tasteful and ladylike look. Call me old-fashioned but this is what I think tennis clothes should look like -- well, for the ladies anyway!"
