Tennis Channel Report:
The champion is crowned at the Top Seed Open. American Jennifer Brady claimed her maiden WTA title with a comfortable straight-sets win over Jil Teichmann.
Brady's big serve and powerful ground game overpowered the Swiss, as she closed it out in style, in an hour and forty-two minutes. The 25-year-old didn't drop a single set all week in Kentucky and will crack the world's top 40 for the first time in next week's rankings.
Jennifer Brady said, "In the beginning, I didn't come out and serve so well and I was getting a bit frustrated with myself but I was able to hold a really tough game at 4-3, and then you know, I got some confidence from that. It's great, you know, especially to win here in America. I think, you know, I'm really pleased with the way I played all week and happy to get the title."
