The event you've been waiting for is finally here. After a weekend of pressers and practice rounds, it's time for the real thing today at the Motocross of Nations. Technically the 2022 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations race begins today after Saturday was full of qualifying rounds. The United States placed first in the qualifying round landing them the first and 21st gate pick. Teams France and Australia round out the second and third-place finishers.

The first qualifying race winner was Belgium's Jago Geerts who led most of the MXGP race. Geerts moved up to the 450 class for the first time and looked like a complete natural He swept the field and held off a late charge. American Justin Cooper was the best in the MX2 qualifier where he led every lap of the event helping to contribute to the great day for Team USA.
Finally, in the third qualifying race for Open, it was very back and forth between Dylan Ferrandis and Chase Sexton. Despite leading for most of the race, Sexton fell to Ferrandis who sneaked ahead at the last moment. Expect even more photo finishes today for the big international races.
