The Pabao Little League representing Willemstad, Curacao won over 14 de Septiembre Little League representing the Latin America region and Managua, Nicaragua. The Caribbean team won 2-0 and only gave up two hits with a big win in the first game of the LLWS. The Caribbean's pitcher Davey-Jay Rijke came in clutch giving up just two hits in 5.1 innings scoreless innings. What was maybe even more impressive is that Rijke struck out 14 batters.

The Caribbean region will move on to play the Panama region who is represented by Aguadulce Cabezera Little League team from Aguadulce, Panama. This year was the first ever Panama Region championship game and Aguadulce Cabezera didn't waste any time winning it. The club won 12-0 earning their spot in this series.
This is the third time Aguadulce Cabezera will play in the LLWS. They'll need to keep that stout offense rolling, especially how well the Caribbean region pitched on Wednesday.
