The Mets won on Wednesday thanks to righty José Buttó. He pitched one of the best games for the New York Mets Triple-A affiliate of the season.
Buttó went seven innings without giving up a run and only gave up two hits and a walk. That was on top of striking out 11 batters while getting nine of them to swing and miss. But it wasn't until the eighth and ninth innings that the Mets scored their five runs. They're going to have to score much earlier to derail Worcester's season tonight.
The WooSox will start Chris Murphy who is 3-6 with a 5.60 ERA. The Mets have yet to announce their starter.
