The Red Foxes won back-to-back games for the first time this season with a 52-39 win over Columbia at home in Poughkeepsie, New York, on Monday night. Marist held the Lions to 2-of-24 shooting and 10 points in the first half to open a big lead. Javon Cooley led the Red Foxes with 13 points and eight rebounds while Gardner had 10 points and four blocks.
The Black Bears led at Fordham until midway through the second half on Wednesday night, when the Rams went on a 12-2 run. Seven straight points by Fordham put them up six with 3:02 to play and it held on for a 72-67 victory. Juozapaitis scored 19 points for Maine in the loss.
Marist is 4-0 all-time against Maine, with the last meeting a 94-69 win on Dec. 16, 2012, in Poughkeepsie.
