The Huskies have gotten off to a perfect 6-0 start this season with the most recent win coming against Providence on Friday in a 98-53 victory. Lou Lopez Senechal and Aubrey Griffin scored 18 points apiece to lead the Huskies in scoring. Aaliyah Edwards had 14 points and 10 rebounds to pick up a double-double and Griffin also had a double-double pulling down 10 rebounds. Azzi Fudd added 16 points, as well.

The Fighting Irish have had a strong start to the season, as well, losing only one game to Maryland their last time out for an overall record of 6-1. The tight 74-72 loss came down to a buzzer-beater shot from Maryland's Diamond Miller. Sonia Citron led the Irish with 24 points on the day and added 10 rebounds for a double-double.
When these two teams met last season, UConn beat Notre Dame 73-54.
