Louisville faded in the fourth quarter on Sunday against visiting No. 20 NC State and lost 63-51. The Cardinals were just 1-of-16 from the floor in that final period as the Wolfpack ran away with the game. Carr finished with 16 points and Morgan Jones added 13, while Van Lith was limited to 11 on 5-of-20 shooting. Louisville shot just 30.3 percent for the game.
The Demon Deacons were also blitzed in the fourth quarter on Sunday at then-No. 12 Virginia Tech, as the Hokies pulled away for a 74-57 win. Wake Forest cut a 15-point halftime deficit to three with a 30-point outburst in the third period, but got just seven points in the final 10 minutes. Spear scored 27 points and Elise Williams added 12.
The Cardinals are 7-0 all-time against the Demon Deacons, including a 72-60 win at home on Jan. 23, 2022, their last meeting.
