Jackson State kept pace in the SWAC race on Monday by thrashing visiting Florida A&M 72-51. Jariyah Covington scored 18 points, Boler finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds and Daphane White also posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.
Grambling fell on Monday at Arkansas-Pine Bluff 64-57, never getting closer than five down the stretch. Maples and Leah Morrow each scored 13 points for Grambling and Phylicia Allen went for 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Jackson State has won the last seven meetings, including an 81-68 victory in Jackson on Jan. 29.
