Str. John's struggled to put away Butler on Wednesday but improved to 12-1 at home with a 67-65 victory. Unique Drake dropped in a short jumper with 2:35 left to give the Red Storm the lead and they were able to hold off the Bulldogs the rest of the way. Drake scored 16 points off the bench and Bailey added 11.
The Pirates were scheduled to host DePaul on Saturday before the Big East Conference postponed the game. The Blue Demons couldn't meet the league minimum of seven scholarship players in uniform.
