On Wednesday night, the Minutemen lost a 70-59 decision at George Mason, missing an opportunity to get back to .500 in A-10 play. T.J. Weeks Jr. scored 18 points for UMass and Wildens Leveque added 12, while Dyondre Dominiquez picked up 11 rebounds.
Mennenga missed a 3-pointer as time expired in a 61-59 loss to visiting VCU, which leads the conference, on Tuesday night. The Wildcats had a nine-point edge late in the first half before the Rams closed the gap with a 9-0 run that bridged intermission. Desmond Watson led Davidson with 12 points and David Skogman added 11.
The Wildcats are 11-5 all-time against the Minutemen and have won the last three meetings, including a 77-67 win at Davidson on Jan. 11, 2022, in the last matchup.
