Terrence Shannon Jr. averages 17.3 points for the Illini while Matthew Mayer puts in 12.6 points per game and Coleman Hawkins grabs 6.4 rebounds a night. The Buckeyes are led by Brice Sensabaugh's 16.6 points per contest, with Justice Sueing scoring 11.9 points an outing and Zed Key averaging 10.8 points and 7.5 rebounds.

Illinois trailed by 18 at the half against No. 21 Northwestern and was still down 16 with 11:11 remaining before rallying for a 66-62 victory on Thursday night. Shannon's layup with 1:16 remaining gave the Illini the lead as he finished with 26 points. Mayer added 14 points and eight rebounds.
Ohio State was never able to get over the hump against visiting Penn State on Thursday in a 75-71 loss. Sensabaugh scored 20 points, Bruce Thornton added 19 and Sueing snared 10 rebounds.
The Illini are 109-81 against the Buckeyes and won the first meeting this season in Champaign 69-60 on Jan. 24. Shannon scored 17 points while Sensabaugh netted 14.
