In the wee hours of Sunday morning, No. 3-seeded Santa Clara will take on No. 6-seeded San Francisco in the quarterfinal round of the men's WCC tournament. The Dons made it to the quarterfinals after defeating Pacific 80-63 on Friday night. Tyrell Roberts led San Francisco with 25 points while Marcus Williams and Josh Junen joined the double-digit scoring efforts with 18 and 15 points, respectively. Kunen pulled down eight rebounds to lead the Dons on the boards. The overall team effort was strong allowing San Francisco to advance.

The Broncos received a bye in the first round of play and will take on San Francisco while on a seven-game win streak.
The team's most recent victory came over San Diego in an 81-63 win to finish out the regular season. Brandin Podziemski recorded a double-double in the win with a team-leading 26 points and 10 rebounds to wrap up the No. 3 seed for the tournament.
When these two teams met during the regular season, Santa Clara walked away with an 84-70 win.
