The Boston College Eagles are on the road for their first ACC match of the season against the Syracuse Orange. Syracuse has not had an ideal start to the season and has an overall record of 4-6. The Orange are currently on a two-game losing streak and will look to turn that around on Wednesday. Most recently, the Orange lost a tight 3-2 match to Bryant in their non-conference finale. All five sets were decided by two or three points, with the exception of the last game which was a four point defeat for Syracuse.

The Eagles have fared much better than their opponent with an 11-2 start. The two losses came over the weekend in the St. John's Classic to Middle Tennessee (3-1) and St. John's (3-2).
The Eagles finished out the tournament with a straight set win over Columbia. Junior Alayna Crabtree led her team with 14 kills and also had five digs, two blocks and two aces. The team will look to her tonight for another strong performance in the ACC opener.
