New York Times Presents: Superspreader is set to premiere on FX on Friday night.

The documentary anthology series New York Times Presents returns on Friday, August 19 with a new feature documentary focused on COVID-19 misinformation: Superspreader. The special was directed and produced by Lora Moftah and focuses on Dr. Joseph Mercola, a Florida physician who has been subjected to regulatory actions for promoting unapproved treatments. Mercola was recently accused of spreading COVID-19 misinformation online as part of an alleged effort to promote his own personal business by pushing natural health cures. Moftah returns after producing previous specials in the New York Times Presents universe such as The Killing of Breonna Taylor, To Live and Die in Alabama, Who Gets to Be an Influencer and They Get Brave.
