Queen Elizabeth II will be laid to rest on Monday and The State Funeral will be televised on BBC America starting at 4 a.m. ET. Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Sept. 8 at the age of 96. She took over as Queen at the age of 26 and her 70 years and 214 days of rule is the longest ever of any British monarch.
She was beloved by England, as was demonstrated by the tens of thousands that were standing in a line along the River Thames on Thursday and waiting in silence as her coffin passed.

Edward William Fitzalan-Howard, the official in charge of arrangements, said the funeral and events over the coming days are intended to “unite people across the globe and resonate with people of all faiths, whilst fulfilling her majesty and her family’s wishes to pay a fitting tribute to an extraordinary reign.”
It will be a day to celebrate her life, but also a day of sadness as an era comes to an end. It will be a huge event that will see dignitaries from all over the world come to say goodbye.
