Oxygen will premiere a new show on Sunday night that follows women who were unlikely suspects in crimes that were committed, but were all found to have motivation to do harm in its new series Black Widow Murders.
The new series flips the assumption of women being the "fairer sex" on its head when it highlights female murderers and the crimes of passion committed. In the true crime world, a black widow gains her nickname from killing multiple people, usually partners, for some kind of financial gain. The kind of murder is irrelevant and always results in some kind of material gain.

The series premiere will portray the story of Sharon Nelson, who was married three times, but had two of her husbands killed. Nelson's second and third husbands were found dead; one in what appeared to be an accidental drowning and the other in a house fire.
The surprise following her third husband's death were the two gunshot wounds to the face found during the autopsy on his charred body. The premiere will show how investigators tied Sharon to both mens deaths and the motive behind them.
