31 Nights of Halloween

This annual programming block features an endless supply of seasonal movies. It runs throughout the entire month of October, with anywhere from five to nine movies playing per day to celebrate the countdown to Halloween.

NASCAR Cup Series

The NASCAR Cup Series is the top racing series in the sport, and playoffs continue in October, with the Round of 12 taking place the first two races of the month and the Round of 8 finishing up in the last three.

Saturday Night Live

SNL returns for Season 48 with Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller hosting while Kendrick Lamar joins as the musical guest. This season brings back many of the core cast members; however, a few fan favorites like Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon and Pete Davidson will not be returning for the new season.

2022 NFL London Games

The Walking Dead

The midseason premiere of The Walking Dead airs at the start of October. The final eight episodes of the show will round out the eleventh season, which has aired in three parts: the first part from August to October 2021, the second from February to April 2022, and the third this month.

The playoff race is heating up, with the field narrowing significantly as teams fight for an official spot in the October bracket. The Dodgers are a heavy favorite to go far and have already secured a spot in the 2022 National League Division Series.

NHL Season Opener

The NHL is going global, with the start of the 2022–23 season kicking off with two games between the Sharks and Predators at the O2 Arena in Prague on Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8.

The following week’s games at home will begin, with the Rangers hosting the Lightning on Tuesday, Oct. 11, and the Kings hosting the Golden Knights right after.

This NBA season will kick off with a doubleheader that features both of the reigning conference championship teams: First, the Celtics host the 76ers, and then the 2022 NBA champion Warriors host the Lakers.
