The ultimate list of events, sports action and TV shows to watch this month, from the World Series to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

MLB World Series

The Houston Astros (-150) are favored to beat the Philadelphia Phillies (+200) to win the 2022 World Series, per SI Sportsbook. Houston secured a home-field advantage by winning more games (106) than the visiting Phillies.

The series starts Friday, Oct. 28 and could run through Saturday, Nov. 5 if the action reaches all seven games.

MLS Cup

MLS conference championships are set, with the Philadelphia Union and New York FC facing off in the Eastern Conference and LAFC and Austin FC duking it out in the Western Conference. Two of those clubs will meet in the MLS Cup final.

Conference championships will be held Oct. 30, and the MLS Cup will be held Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. Fox will broadcast the championship.

NASCAR Xfinity Series

The field of NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers will be cut in half Oct. 29, setting up the four-driver finale of the series on Nov. 5. Noah Gragson and Josh Berry—both with JR Motorsports—lead the pack, while Ty Gibbs and AJ Allmendinger are also in the mix.

The 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship will be broadcast on USA Network at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5.

2022 TCS New York City Marathon

The New York City Marathon is back at full capacity, with 50,000 runners from around the world set to compete in the annual road race, according to the New York Road Runners. Among those runners will be celebrities including Nev Schulman of Catfish fame and Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants Matt James and Zac Clark.

How to watch

The New York City Marathon will begin 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6. Runners in the 2021 marathon finished in an average time of 4:39:02.

NASCAR Cup Series

Following an elimination race on Oct. 30, the field of eight drivers will be cut down to four. Currently, Team Penske driver Joey Logano—who won the Cup Series in 2018—leads the pack with 4,106 points. He's trailed by Ross Chastain, Chase Elliott and William Byron. Elliott won the championship in 2020, while Chastain and Byron have never topped the podium.

The Culpo Sisters will premiere on Monday, Nov. 7. It airs at 9 p.m. ET on TLC and will be available to stream on discovery+.

New York Jets wide receiver Braxton Berrios is dating Sophia Culpo, one of the subjects of a new TLC reality series.

FIFA World Cup

This year the World Cup will begin Nov. 20 and run through Dec. 18. Host nation Qatar will see opening-day action, while England and the United States start their first round of play on Nov. 21.
