Dog lovers all over the country will flock to their tv on Thursday to see which dog breed will win the title of Best in Show at the 2022 'National Dog Show'.

It's Thanksgiving Day in the United States and on NBC, that means two big events are slated to take place back to back. Following the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, The National Dog Show Presented by Purina will be broadcast at noon on NBC and will continue to thrill dog lovers around the country just as it has done since its inception in 2002. The show brings breeds of all kinds to the arena ranging from the tiniest Chihuahuas to the biggest Great Danes competing across seven groups. The winners of each group compete for the title of Best in Show.

This year's show will introduce three new breeds to the competition: Mudi (Herding Group), Bracco Italiano (Sporting Group) and Russian Toy (Toy Group). 

These three breeds will join 185 other breeds as 1500 entries will compete for the grand prize at the end of the day. 

With the reigning champion, Claire (Scottish Deerhound) being retired from showing, the trophy is up for grabs on Thursday. Which breed will take home the coveted title of Best in Show?
