How to Watch Singapore Grand Prix Practice 2: Stream Formula 1 Live, TV Channel

Max Verstappen leads the Formula 1 field into the Singapore Grand Prix, with the second free practice session set for Friday.

With five consecutive victories and wins in 11 of the 16 races in Formula 1 this season, Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen is solidly in position to win his second consecutive world championship. That could come as soon as Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix. Drivers will get their second look at the course in Friday's free practice session. Verstappen comes to Marina Bay with a 116-point lead over Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in the driver standings. Formula 1 is coming to Asia for the next two races, with the action moving to Japan next weekend, after last racing in Italy on Sept. 11.

Formula 1 is returning to the Marina Bay Street Circuit for the first time since 2019. Each of the last two years saw the race canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sebastian Vettel is the most recent winner of the race, taking the top of the podium in 2019.

Verstappen can lock up his second straight Formula 1 championship on Sunday with a win and some help. If he wins with the fastest lap and secures the maximum 26 points, Verstappen is crowned, but only if Leclerc finishes eighth or worse and if teammate Sergio Pérez is no better than fourth.

The other clinching scenario for Verstappen is a win without the fastest-lap bonus point, along with a ninth-place or lower finish for Leclerc and Pérez finishing no better than fourth and not completing the fastest trip around the course.

Marina Bay Street Circuit is a 3.146-mile asphalt course known for its bumps and its 23 turns.

Regional restrictions may apply.
