Nathan Eovaldi gets the start for the WooSox in the fourth game against the Syracuse Mets.

With two losses in a row to the Syracuse Mets, the Worcester Red Sox have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. The WooSox will try to bounce back tonight after winning the first game of this six-game series. Syracuse has bounced back and will now look for a commanding 3-1 advantage. The Red Sox didn't even play badly in their 4-2 loss on Thursday to the Mets. Worcester started Chris Murphy who has only been up at the Triple-A level for a short time but it didn't seem like it as he turned in a solid start for game three. Murphy went seven innings with seven strikeouts, only giving up two runs, with one of them unearned.

The Mets just played a bit better with a rally in the late innings to secure the season series victory over their International League East division rivals.

The WooSox will try to bounce back tonight by starting a major leaguer making a rehab start Nathan Eovaldi. You're not going to want to miss the game based on Eovaldi's start alone. The Mets will start Jose Rodriguez who is 2-3 with a 5.30 ERA.
