The Mets haven't trailed in the series and jumped out to a 4-0 lead on Tuesday. Francisco Lindor hit a two-run homer in the second and Jeff McNeil added a solo shot in the third. Cincinnati's only runs came on a two-run homer by Jake Fraley in the top of the seventh.
Right-hander Taijuan Walker works the series finale for New York. In 19 starts, he is 9-3 with a 3.45 ERA and 1.188 WHIP in 104-and-one-third innings. He is looking to bounce back from his worst start of the season on Friday when he was rocked by the Braves for eight runs and didn't record an out in the second inning before being yanked.
The Reds will recall right-hander T.J. Zeuch to start on Wednesday. He signed with Cincinnati on June 2 and has made five starts at Triple-A Louisville, posting a 3.63 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 22-and-one-third innings.
