The Nationals snapped a six-game losing streak with the win and are looking to win their first series since taking two of three from the NL-leading Dodgers three weeks ago. The Cubs, though, are looking to keep that from happening as they go for their second straight series win and fourth win in their last six games.
The Nationals have been struggling, but they got a big win on Tuesday when they got a two-run home run from Joey Meneses in the top of the eighth. The Nationals had just given up four runs in the bottom of the seventh to blow a 4-1 lead but rebounded to get the win.
The Cubs were looking to get their second straight win and nearly came back to do it, but Mark Leiter Jr. gave up the two-out home run. Wednesday, they will look to bounce back and get the series win before they head to Dyersville, Iowa, for the Field of Dreams game on Thursday night.
