The Phillies are also 4-6 in their last ten games and are a bit closer to the top of the NL East trailing the leading Mets by 11 games. Unfortunately, the team has a lot of work to do to catch both the Mets in first and the Braves in second.

Yesterday, the Phillies pulled off a 4-1 win in game one of the series. Nick Castellanos put the Phils on the board in the bottom of the second with a solo home run. Bryson Stott followed with his own solo shot to give the Phillies a 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the third, Castellanos struck again with an RBI double to right field. The Reds finally got on the board in the fifth with a solo home run from Austin Romine, but it was the only run brought home. J.T. Realmuto finished off the scoring with an RBI double in the bottom of the fifth to secure the win.

Today, the Phillies will look to pick up another game over the Reds and start inching closer to the Braves.
