The Rockies were able to tie it setting up the heroics for Elias Diaz in the ninth inning. He hit a walk-off three-run homer. This was after he tied the game on an RBI double in the seventh. On the night the Rockies catcher went 4-5 collecting seven RBIs. First baseman C.J. Cron hit a 504 ft. homer to cap a truly unique Coors Field game.
Arizona will start Madison Bumgarner for game two. The legendary veteran has a 6-13 record with a 4.83 ERA. He will face Jose Urena for the Rockies who is 3-6 with a 6.13 ERA this season. Expect another pinball score finish in Colorado tonight.
