How to Watch Braves at Phillies: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel

The Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies start a four-game series with playoff implications on Thursday.

The Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies are playing for two very different things at this point in the season. The Braves have secured a playoff spot already, but are looking for more in the two weeks left in the regular season. They are still only a game back of the New York Mets in the National League East standings.

Atlanta is more than capable of winning the division. They just need a good start on the road against the Phillies, who are trying to secure their Wild Card playoff spot. Philadelphia has to continue to play well though since the Brewers are only two games back.

The Braves had their pace slowed down by losing to the last place Washington Nationals 3-2 on Wednesday. The Braves had won five games in a row and were up 2-0 to start the game. Washington came back scoring three unanswered runs.

The Phillies won in dramatic fashion in their last game against the Toronto Blue Jays, who are fighting for a Wild Card spot of their own. Similarly, the Blue Jays were up 3-0 in the eighth inning, but the Phillies rallied to win 4-3 in the 10th inning. Matt Vierling was the hero, racking up five hits including the walk-off single to avoid the sweep.

The Phillies will try to defend home field by starting Ranger Suarez, who is 9-5 with a 3.53 ERA. The Braves will send Max Fried, who is 13-5 with a 2.52 ERA.
