The Giants (75-78) are 11-5 so far against Colorado this season. The Rockies are trying to finish above 70 games, but they are five away with a tough schedule remaining against the Giants and Dodgers all on the road.

Colorado finished its last home series against the Padres over the weekend dropping two of three games. In the series before that the Rockies got swept in a four-game series against the Giants. The Rockies were trying to climb back from an early deficit in their last game, but the Padres offense was too much. Led by back-to-back homers by Manny Machado and Brandon Drury, the Padres scored five in the eighth inning to easily put the game away winning 13-6.

The Giants meanwhile won 3-2 on a go-ahead, two-RBI single in a pinch-hit appearance in the eighth inning. San Francisco has now won six of its last seven. The Giants will try to keep it rolling tonight by starting Logan Webb, who is 14-9 with a 2.93 ERA. The Rockies will counter in the opener with German Marquez, who is 8-12 with a 5.15 ERA.

Regional restrictions may apply.
