How to Watch Nationals at Mets: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel
The New York Mets have to be absolutely itching to get back on the field. After getting swept by the Atlanta Braves to fall back two games in the NL East standings, New York was supposed to play Washington on Monday for a shot at redemption. The problem was that mother nature had different plans. Game one of this final regular season series was postponed due to rain. The first game today will start at 4:10 p.m. ET. The scheduled starters for Monday's game will go then. Carlos Carrasco (15-7, 3.95 ERA) will get the nod for the Mets and Corry Abbott (0-4, 5.11 ERA) will go for the Nationals.

For game two, the Mets will look to Taijuan Walker (12-5, 3.59 ERA) and Washington will counter with Paolo Espino (0-8, 4.30 ERA).
The good news for New York is that both of the starters combined do not have one win. But they still must win out to effectively have a shot at regaining the NL East crown. The even better news for the Mets is that the Braves missed their chance to clinch the division after losing 4-0 to Miami on Monday. There is still hope but the Mets have to take care of what they can control first in this doubleheader.
