The Washington Nationals head to Sarasota on Saturday afternoon to take on the St. Louis Cardinals in their Spring Training opener.

The Washington Nationals open up their Spring Training schedule on Saturday afternoon when they take on the St. Louis Cardinals. The Nationals come into the 2023 season looking to be much better after finishing the 2022 season with an MLB-worst 55-107 record. It was a rough year for the Nationals and they didn't make a lot of moves during the offseason. They are once again projected to finish at the bottom of the NL East, but come into the spring looking to be a surprise team like the Baltimore Orioles were last year. Saturday, they get to show their new team against a Cardinals squad that is looking to win the NL Central again.
