The Cardinals and the Pirates will wrap up their National League series on Sunday at PNC Park as the Pirates look to move into the top spot with the Brewers.

The St. Louis Cardinals (25-34) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (30-27) will meet for the final game of their series at PNC Park on Sunday morning. The Cardinals are currently in last place in the National League Central and are five and a half games behind the leading Brewers. The first game of the series resulted in a 7-5 loss for the Cardinals before the team dropped the second game on Saturday night in a 4-3 defeat. The Cardinals took an early lead in the second with a solo shot by Willson Contreras.

The Pirates are now sitting just a half-game behind the Brewers after last night's win over the Cardinals. Ke'Bryan Hayes led things off for the Pirates with a solo home run in the fifth before Connor Joe hit a two-run double to take the lead. Carlos Santana added an RBI single to extend that lead in the sixth. Nolan Gorman brought the game within one for the Cardinals with a two-run homer in the eighth, but the Pirates were able to hold on for the win.
