Jayson Tatum and the first place Boston Celtics take on Scottie Barnes and the Toronto Raptors on Monday.

The Boston Celtics (19-5) are riding high as the best team in basketball having won six of their last seven games and 15 of their last 17 games. They have the top scoring offense in the NBA, along with the 13th best scoring defense, playing inspired basketball after losing in the finals last year. They take on the Toronto Raptors (12-11) for the first time this season as these Atlantic Division teams look to continue their rivalry and add another chapter into it this season. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will have their work cut out for them today against the long, athletic and defensive minded roster in Toronto that can make life very difficult on perimeter players.

Last season the teams split their four games with each getting a huge double figure win under their belt and Toronto winning a tough overtime game at home the last time these teams took the court.

This will be a great test for both teams with Boston leaning into the smaller lineups with Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Malcolm Brogdon, Brown and Tatum out there with either Al Horford, Grant Williams or Luke Kornet while Robert Williams rehabs.

Tatum and Brown are combining for 57.7 points per game and also the best duo in the NBA at attacking defenses through just over a quarter of the season.

They will be matched up against Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby, Pascal Siakam, along with several other capable disruptors on the defensive end that lead the NBA in fast break and points off of turnovers.

Regional restrictions may apply.
