Coming off her failed attempt at a medal in the 2022 Winter Olympics, all eyes will be on Mikaela Shiffrin as she looks to prove she is the best in the world at her craft in the women’s giant slalom.
Shiffrin is edging closer and closer to the record for the most wins in her sport after picking up her 75th and 76th wins in the first two events of the season. A win here would give her three straight wins to start the season, something she has never done before in her career.
She is just behind two athletes in wins for her sport, Lindsey Vonn (82) and Ingemar Stenmark (86) are second and first all-time in wins ahead of Shiffrin.
