How to Watch New England Free Jacks vs. Dallas Jackals: Stream 2023 Major League Rugby Live, TV Channel

The Dallas Jackals travel to Massachusetts hunting their first win of the season against the New England Free Jacks.

Eastern Conference leaders the New England Free Jacks will play their second home fixture of the 2023 Major League Rugby campaign at home to a struggling Dallas Jackals team on Saturday. Both teams enter this week of the new season in very different veins of form, with the Free Jacks flying high at the top of their table while Dallas is still seeking its maiden win so far in 2023. The Jackals came within inches of ending that drought in a desperate trip to Chicago last weekend but will hope to emerge as underdog victors when they make the intimidating trip to Quincy, Massachusetts.

Two of the three points to Dallas’ credit came in that clash, crossing the whitewash four times and falling short by just two points (any defeat within seven points is worth a losing bonus point).

Despite having only played once at home so far this season, New England made its 2023 debut at Veterans Memorial Stadium count following a 64-point thriller against Eastern rivals Old Glory DC.

The host ran in five tries to overcome a late comeback effort from the team currently sat second in the conference, and a last-gasp converted try for the visitor was only enough for a consolatory point:

Fijian flyer Paula Balekana has scored a brace in each of New England’s last two games, bagging two in the narrow win over Old Glory before repeating the feat in last weekend’s 33-19 thumping of Rugby New York.

To put the disparity between the two teams’ fortunes into context, the Free Jacks have secured as many try bonus points this season (three) as the Jackals have across the campaign as a whole.

Only the San Diego Legion (145) has accumulated more points than New England’s 115 thus far, though the Western Conference leaders have the added benefit of having played one game more.

At the other end of the spectrum, only the Toronto Arrows (43) have racked up fewer points than Dallas (69), though their blushes are also somewhat spared by the fact they’ve played a game fewer.

Regional restrictions may apply.
