Cowboys vs. Giants Rounds Out Week 3

Plus, Judge watch continues, and England looks to regain its World Cup form.

In a week with butt punts and unforced safeties, the *checks notes* Jaguars were the big story? It was a weird weekend in the NFL, but we got plenty of entertaining (and close) games Sunday. Now, we wrap up Week 3 with an NFC East battle between the Giants and Cowboys on Monday Night Football.

Also on today’s docket: A big World Cup tune-up between England and Germany, home run watch for Aaron Judge and much more.

A quick note: Due to COVID-19, sports schedules are fluid and subject to change.

MUST WATCH:

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants

Brian Daboll

The NFC East looks like the Eagles’ division to lose through three weeks, but the Giants are off to a surprising 2–0 start, and the Cowboys just beat last year’s Super Bowl runner-ups. Excitement is justifiably high for the Giants, who’ve looked like a completely different team under new coach Brian Daboll with a rejuvenated Saquon Barkley and a more efficient Daniel Jones. The Giants haven’t started 3–0 since 2009, and getting a crack at a backup QB in Cooper Rush gives them a real chance of doing just that.

HIDDEN GEM:

UEFA Nations League: Germany at England

England’s poor form of late is coming at the worst possible time with a World Cup looming in just two months, and the ire of many Three Lions supporters has turned to manager Gareth Southgate. With prep time so limited for the World Cup because of its unusual November start date, there’s virtually no time for England to regain its form. That said, three points tonight at Wembley against Germany would without a doubt assuage some fears of a World Cup flop.
