Maryland, Indiana Meet in Top-10 Women’s Hoops Showdown
We’re just two days away from the NFL playoffs. It should be a fun weekend of football, but until then, we’ve got plenty of action to look forward to on the hardwood. Our headliner tonight is in women’s college basketball with a top-10 matchup early in conference play. We’ve also got two of the Eastern Conference’s best facing off in the NBA and a rivalry game out West in men’s college basketball.
Here’s what I’m watching today.
MUST WATCH:
Women’s CBB: No. 9 Maryland at No. 6 Indiana
It’s a clash of Big Ten titans at Assembly Hall tonight in a game with major conference and NCAA tournament implications in women’s college hoops. The Hoosiers have stayed near the top five despite the absence of star guard Grace Berger, who finally returned to the floor last week and provides a major jolt to this balanced attack. Meanwhile, Maryland is known for its dynamic offense led by talented wing Diamond Miller, who’s averaging nearly 19 points, 7 rebounds and three assists per game. In a crowded conference race, neither team wants to take a second loss early in January.
