The Timbers extended their unbeaten streak to nine games in a 1-1 draw against Nashville SC on Thursday night in Portland. After Nashville’s Teal Bunbury opened the scoring in the 20th minute, Dallas’s Santiago Moreno pulled the home side even with a goal seven minutes later, and the two teams remained tied at one goal apiece for the remainder of the match.
Dallas, on the other hand, dropped a 1-0 loss to the Sounders courtesy of a first-half penalty kick by Seattle’s Nicolas Lodeiro. Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan sent a long pass towards U.S. international Jordan Morris, who was taken out by Dallas goalie Maarten Paes and awarded a penalty for the Sounders. Lodeiro improved to a perfect 18-for-18 in his MLS career on penalty kicks after Morris drew the penalty in the box.
FC Dallas will now head take on the Portland Timbers at Providence Park on Saturday night.
