Zoe Burns and the Canadian national team will take on Lee Kang-In and the Korean Republic in the first group game of the U-20 Women's World Cup on Thursday.

The Women's U-20 World Cup is underway with Matchday No. 1. After Wednesday's games, this match is sure to keep the fire alive. Both of these teams are playing in Group C with France and Nigeria. Korea Republic is coming into this game not having played with each other in some time. The last time was 2019, when Korea lost 3-1 to Ukraine. Lee Kang-In was the only Korean player to score in the game.

The Canadian U-20 team is coming off of a tournament in March. The team played in the CONCACAF U-20 Women's Championship. After beating Panama 1-0 in the quarterfinal, Canada earned a trip to the semifinals.

The team ended up losing 1-0 in the semifinal against Mexico. However, they did end up being Puerto Rico in the third place match 2-0. Zoe Burns and Florianne Jourde scored in back-to-back minutes to win the game and end the tournament on a high note.
