How to Watch France vs. Nigeria: Stream FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Soccer Live, TV Channel

France and Nigeria will meet on Thursday to kick off their journey in the tournament.

In the opening match for these two nations in the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica, France will take on a talented Nigerian team. In addition to these two nations, Canada and South Korea are in their group. Neither country has won a U-20 Women’s World Cup championship. 

France won its latest match against Mexico 2-1 in the Sud Ladies Cup. In the match, France’s Celina Hocine scored first in the 34th minute. Mexico was able to tie the match in the 57th minute, but Megane Hoeltzel scored the game winner for France in the 72nd minute. The French team finished as the runner-up in the 2016 tournament.

Nigeria’s last U-20 match was in 2018 in the World Cup where the national team lost 2-1 to Spain. The current U-20 World Cup title holder is Japan, with Germany and the United States tied with the most title wins at three. In this year's competition, there are 16 teams separated into four groups. The championship match will take place on August 28.
