TQL Stadium is set to host the midweek matchup between MLS side FC Cincinnati and Liga MX giant Chivas de Guadalajara on Wednesday in 2022 Leagues Cup action. The 2022 edition of the inter-league competition will feature five Major League Soccer clubs and three clubs from the Mexican first division. The five MLS sides included in the competition are L.A. Galaxy, Los Angeles FC, FC Cincinnati, Nashville SC and Real Salt Lake, while the three clubs from Liga MX are the two winningest teams in league history, Club América and Chivas de Guadalajara, as well as the back-to-back reigning league champion Atlas.

Cincinnati will be receiving the 116-year-old club Chivas on Wednesday in between west coast road trips to Real Salt Lake and Seattle Sounders on Sept. 27. The MLS side defeated RSL on Sept. 17 in the first of the two road trips 2-1 thanks to a brace from Brazilian striker Brenner.
Meanwhile, Chivas are coming off a 2-1 loss to eternal rival Club América on Saturday, where Cristian Calderón scored the club's lone goal in the defeat.
