The UEFA Nation's League D Group 2 will feature Estonia heading into the team's third game and Malta heading into the team's fourth game of the competition thus far. Estonia is 2-0 in the games it has played to this point. It was able to get the best of San Marino 2-0 in the first game it played. Robert Kirss and Joonas Tamm were the two goal scorers for Estonia in the shutout. After that, Estonia took on Malta where it came away with the 2-1 win Konstantin Vassiljev scored in the 21st minute to put the team up 1-0 before Karl Hein was credited with an own goal evening it up. It took four minutes into stoppage time for Henri Anier, an Estonian striker, to win the game for the top team in the group.

Malta has played three games to this point. With only three teams in the group, Malta has taken on Estonia once and San Marino twice. Both of Malta's wins came against San Marino, 2-0 and 1-0. Its only loss was against Estonia 2-1.
In its last win, Zach Muscat put the only goal in the net for the team in the 50th minute. It will need him to do that again if it hopes to get revenge on Estonia.
