How to Watch Switzerland vs Israel: Stream 2024 UEFA European Championship Qualifiers Live, TV Channel

Switzerland hosts Israel in an effort to build some momentum in the race to qualify for Euro 2024

Switzerland could hardly have hoped for a more positive start to Euro 2024 qualifying and will look to book a first home win of the campaign as Israel makes its way to Geneva on Tuesday. Murat Yakin’s men established themselves as the team to beat in Group I after battering Belarus 5-0 in Serbia on Saturday, with that fixture held on neutral soil on account of Russia and Belarus’ invasion of Ukraine. Israel is still seeking its first qualification win, meanwhile, as well as a first win on Swiss soil as both outfits look to end the international break atop the pool.

As if Switzerland wasn’t already considered the frontrunner to take the top spot in Group I, a one-sided hammering of Belarus emphatically established the Red Crosses as just that.

It took former Wolfsburg winger Renato Steffen less than 30 minutes to put his side 3-0 up in Novi Sad, where captain Granit Xhaka joined the scoring before Zeki Amdouni bagged his first senior international goal:

Yakin appears unlikely to change much for the visit of Israel, who is likely to be one of the more testing group opponents despite dropping points at home to Kosovo in its curtain-raiser.

Elazar Dasa’s own goal put the guests ahead in Tel Aviv only for Dor Poretz to pull back an equalizer after 56 minutes.

Israel is yet to make its bow in the European Championship after missing out in the play-offs during the Euro 2020 qualifying phase.

Switzerland, on the other hand, is something of a mainstay in the continental showpiece having made it the finals in five of the past seven tournaments, albeit never managing to win more than one game on the main stage.

Israel was saddened to lose in-form Celtic attacker Liel Abada prior to Kosovo’s visit, though Fulham forward Manor Solomon will be a scoring threat the Swiss will want to keep an eye on.

Yakin may hand Red Bull Salzburg striker Noah Okafor a start in Geneva after his contributions off the bench on Saturday, with Breel Embolo and veteran Xherdan Shaqiri out of the squad due to injury.

Regional restrictions may apply.
