The last time Nadal won the U.S. Open was in 2019 in a five-set match against then-rising star Daniil Medvedev:

Nadal has won the U.S. Open four times overall (2010, 2013, 2017 and 2019) and is the most decorated men’s singles tennis player of all time with 23 major wins. Winning this year would give him five U.S. Open titles, tied for fourth most of all time with Roger Federer.

He is challenged by Rinky Hijikata in their first head-to-head match ever.

Raducanu takes on Alize Cornet who has never won a major in her 16 career at the same time as the Nadal match.

In the final matches, Schwartzman and Sock for the second time in their careers and for the first time since Sock won back in 2017 in a three-set match.

At the same time as the Schwartzman match, what could be the match of the week features Collins who lost in the Australian Open finals and seeks her first major against Osaka, who has won four majors since 2019, including her two U.S. Open titles.
