Two of the best teams in the Big Ten in women's college volleyball lock horns on Friday night when No. 8 Minnesota takes on No. 11 Purdue. The Golden Gophers come into the match with a 5-3 record, but all three of their losses have come against ranked teams. It has been a brutal schedule for the Golden Gophers so far as six of their eight opponents have been ranked. They do have the three losses, but they have proven to be one of the better teams in the country based off of their wins. This will be a fun Big Ten matchup.

The Boilermakers, though, will look to show that they are just as good and get a huge conference win on Friday.
They come into the match 9-1 but have just one match against a ranked team and that was a 3-0 loss to Louisville. They played the Cardinals tough but just didn't have enough.
The Golden Gophers will present the same type of problems for the Boilermakers and they hope that is enough to get them a big road win. The Golden Gophers will return home for their next three matches but want to get a win on Friday first.
