Northwestern hits the road on Friday night to take on Rutgers in women's college volleyball. This will be the second meeting between the two teams in three weeks with Northwestern winning the first one 3-0. The Wildcats dominated that first match, getting the 25-12, 25-19, 25-22 victory. It was their second Big Ten win of the year, but unfortunately, they have lost three straight since. They are now just 2-6 in the Big Ten and have struggled in losses to Ohio State, Maryland and Nebraska over the last week and a half. They have won just one set during their losing streak and are in need of a win on Friday.

The Scarlet Knights, though, will be looking to avenge that earlier season loss and earn a split.
They will have to snap a six-match losing streak if they want to get that win. They haven't won since beating Michigan State back on Sept. 25 and are just 1-7 in the Big Ten this year.
They have had a tough go of it in conference play and are just looking for a bright spot in a loaded Big Ten. Getting a win on Friday would be a huge lift for the struggling Scarlet Knights.
