Chicago responded to their game one surprising loss to New York by coming out as motivated as they have been in two years with a 100-62 blowout:
This New York team has more than a puncher's chance to win this game and advance, especially if they get the home crowd involved and Ionescu is on top of her game.
Their loss in game two showed how important the young star guard is to the success of her team as she struggled with just seven points, five rebounds and three assists (three turnovers) in 22 minutes. She was never able to get her team in a rhythm as they had one of their worst offensive performances of the season.
For Chicago it is simple. Let their defense fuel their fast break offense, which in turn opens up everything that makes this a championship team. Kahleah Copper finished the game with 20 points to lead the way with six others scoring eight or more points.
The winner of this game will take on the winner of the Connecticut Sun at Dallas Wings who also play in a deciding game three tomorrow.
