Germany's Freund wins 2nd straight ski jump World Cup

TITISEE-NEUSTADT, Germany (AP) Severin Freund of Germany won his second straight World Cup ski jump event for his fourth victory of the season on Saturday.

The ski flying world champion soared 138.5 meters with his first effort and then 140 for the day's longest jump with his second to gain a total of 299.4 points - 11.4 more than Austria's Stefan Kraft, who had jumps of 134 and 139 meters.

Slovenia's Peter Prevc was third with jumps of 141.5 and 131.5 for 285.8 points.

Kraft still leads the overall rankings with 1,163 points, ahead of Prevc on 1,114. With 10 events remaining, Freund is third on 1,013.
