Joergen Graabak wins season's last Nordic combined World Cup

SCHONACH, Germany (AP) Joergen Graabak of Norway pipped Fabian Riessle of Germany for the second time in three days to win the final Nordic combined World Cup of the season Sunday.

Graabak, who took advantage of Riessle's crash to clinch victory for Norway in Friday's team event, was 13th after the ski jump and made up a difference of 1:41 in the 15-kilometer cross country race to win in 38:43.3.

Riessle, 14th in the ski jump, was 2.1 seconds behind, ahead of Austria's Lukas Klapfer and Bernhard Gruber. Norway's Jan Schmid was fifth.

Germany's Manuel Faisst won the ski jump but crashed on the course and finished 14th.

Overall champion Eric Frenzel was eighth, 16.5 behind. The German finished with 1,389 points, ahead of Japan's Akito Watabe on 1,070 and Riessle on 1,064.
