A NIGHTLY DRINK FOR BRIGGS STADIUM

June 05, 1955

On the mound for the Detroit Tigers—but only after hours—stands a highly effective performer: an untiring rotary spray which does its best to keep the playing field lush and green. The mechanical moundsman gets plenty of outfield support from the stadium's underground sprinklers. Annual problem is regrowing turf after football.
