Lacrosse, fast spreading through the East and Midwest as a spring activity to balance athletic schedules, approaches its climax with a key match next Saturday between Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland, two leading powers. In the game shown above, Hopkins, undefeated last season, stopped a 31-game Maryland winning streak.
